RICHMOND-UPON-THAMES, United Kingdom—Norwood Systems has announced the commercial availability of EnterpriseMobility, a software platform that offers employees wireless connectivity within the workplace.
The new platform uses Bluetooth technology to link users’ mobile devices to existing office-based voice and data networks.
“Our customers are now able to be totally mobile inside their building with roaming access to voice and data networks using the latest lightweight portable devices,” explained Paul Ostergaard, chairman and chief executive officer of Norwood. “Release 1.0 of EnterpriseMobility includes several key development breakthroughs not only for Norwood, but also for the Bluetooth industry as a whole.”
