CHICAGO-Triton PCS Holdings Inc.’s said its co-branding agreement with AT&T Corp. is expected to end in February when the current deal between the two companies expires.
“More than likely we will operate as a standalone brand,” said Daniel Hopkins, senior vice president and treasurer of Triton PCS at a Wachovia Securities equities conference.
Triton, an AT&T Wireless affiliate, has a five-year deal with AT&T allowing it to mention the affiliation and include the AT&T logo in its marketing materials along with its own SunCom brand name. If a new deal is not reached, AT&T Wireless’ current affiliate agreement with Triton would not be affected.
