TOKYO-Nortel Networks Corp. said it signed an optical network contract to expand KDDI’s metro access network and support the carrier’s cdma2000 1x offering.
“We will work closely with KDDI to build what we expect to be one of the country’s most sophisticated communications networks and to contribute to the growth of broadband wireline and wireless technologies in Japan,” said John Giamatteo, president, Nortel Networks Japan.
