SUMMIT, N.J.-Software developer Face2face Animation announced it will demonstrate its new wireless streaming animation player, based on the new MPEG-4 standard, at the SIGGRAPH conference and exposition in San Antonio, Texas.
The company said its new animation player can work over wireless networks at speeds as low as 14.4 kilobits per second, and streams high-quality facial animation with perfect lip synch.
“As demand for animated content increases, content providers and wireless carriers need solutions that will satisfy existing networks,” said Eric Petajan, founder and chief scientist of Face2face. “The Face2face MPEG-4 system requires no animation expertise in order to drive high-quality facial motion capture, which enables wireless animation on any mobile network today.”
