BEIJING-Siemens has won a US$22 million contract to expand China Mobile’s GSM network in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Implementation will be performed by Siemens Shanghai Mobile Communications (SSMC).
This sixth expansion is the most extensive to date. Siemens will deliver base stations and mobile switching systems.
China Mobile’s Inner Mongolia subsidiary has more than 1.5 million subscribers.
