EXI Wireless receives patent for anti-collision feature

RICHMOND, British Columbia-EXI Wireless Inc. announced it has received a U.S. patent for the anti-collision feature included in its eLink wireless communication protocol.

ELink, which is used for asset and people management and in security systems for health care and education centers, allows multiple RFID tags to attach to assets or people so they can communicate with and be identified by eXI’s system. “Without the anti-collision feature, the system would not be able to distinguish multiple tags communicating at the same time,” explained Malik Talib, chief executive officer of eXI.
