DENVER-Qwest Communications International Inc. posted $188 million in wireless revenue for the second quarter of this year, a 4 percent increase from the $181 million the company reported for the second quarter of 2001.
While Qwest did not report the number of customer additions for the quarter, it did report penetration fell from 5.26 percent last year to 5.09 percent this year and that it ended the second quarter with 1.117 million wireless customers. Average revenue per user dropped from $52 last year to $48 this year with cost per gross addition dropping 23 percent from $322 to $248.
