SAN JOSE, Calif.-Agilent Technologies Inc. said it suffered a loss of $228 million, or 49 cents per share, in its third-quarter results, exceeding the loss the market anticipated.
A year ago, the company had a loss of $225 million, or 49 cents a share. Excluding one-time items, the company recorded a $143 million loss, or 22 cents a share. Its total revenue was $1.4 billion, 20-percent less than $1.8 billion a year earlier.
