SAN DIEGO-Novatel Wireless Inc. announced it will partner with PCTEL Inc. to offer PCTEL’s Wi-Fi Roaming Clients as an option with all Novatel GPRS and CDMA 1x Merlin PC Card modems.
The combined solution will allow users to access the Internet, e-mail, personal information and corporate databases while roaming between 802.11a or b and GSM/GPRS or CDMA 1x network coverage areas.
Novatel also recently announced its Merlin G201 dual-band GPRS PC card modem has been granted type approval from the Australian Communications Authority and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
