AT&T Wireless, InnerWireless to deliver in-building coverage to Rockefeller Center Concourse

NEW YORK-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. and InnerWireless Inc. partnered with Rockefeller Group Telecommunications Services Inc. to deliver in-building wireless coverage to the lower level of the Rockefeller Center Concourse, which connects one of New York’s busiest subway stops and several office buildings including 30 Rockefeller Plaza, The McGraw-Hill Building and The Time & Life Building in Manhattan.

InnerWireless negotiated contracts to install and operate its InnerMobile system with the owners of the office towers above the concourse, and then leased access on the system to AT&T Wireless to provide enhanced wireless coverage to tenants and visitors.

“The InnerMobile system provides a reliable infrastructure that enables us to fill out our network in the most cost-effective and efficient way possible, and supports multiple devices and services,” said Paul Schreier, AT&T Wireless general manager for New York and New Jersey.
