WAYNESBORO, Va.-Ntelos Inc. said it added 13,043 net customers during the recently completed third quarter, more than double the 5,171 the carrier added during the same quarter last year. The strong net additions came despite a loss of 4,374 prepaid customers during the quarter and raised Ntelos’ customer base to 251,021 subscribers.
Ntelos also reported postpaid customer churn dropped from 3.38 percent during the second quarter of this year to 3.07 percent in the third quarter.
“We are delighted to report this achievement of customer growth in our PCS operations,” said James Quarforth, chief executive officer of Ntelos. “Our subscriber additions, mix and reduced churn illustrate our success in growing this customer segment.”
