WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Sandbridge Technologies has made commercially available its new Sandblaster Baseband Processor, which uses software defined radio to enable multimode, multiplatform and multifunction wireless terminals.
The company said its ultra-low power, re-configurable chip technology enables a single wireless communications device to support multiple wireless protocols, including GSM, GPRS, W-CDMA, wireless local area network and Bluetooth, while also supporting a variety of multimedia applications, including MPEG-4 and location-based services.
