MCLEAN, Va.-A report from Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., “Mobile Device Returns and Repairs-Reshaping the Reverse Supply Chain,” examines a new challenge facing the mobile telecom industry.
Booz Allen believes the challenge has shifted from meeting handset demand to managing a “reverse supply chain,” which the analyst firm explains as a system for handling an increased level of returns, repairs and upgrades in a cost-effective manner that meets customer needs.
The report identified eight suggestions for lowering costs and improving service in the reverse supply chain.
