WILMINGTON, Del.-Bankrupt Devon Mobile Communications L.P. said it will attempt to sell, via auction, substantially all of its site tower assets and will assume related executory contracts and unexpired leases.
Devon was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August, after Adelphia Communications Corp., which owns 49.9 percent of the company, terminated all funding to the company.
Devon said last month it would sell 75 wireless communications towers to Mountain Union Telecom L.L.C., pending court approval, which presumably was not granted.
