KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.-TruePosition Inc. released a wireless location platform designated for small and medium-sized wireless operators.
The solution uses Uplink Time Difference of Arrival technology, which TruePosition already has trialed and deployed commercially in the United States. The solution includes enhanced central office equipment designed specifically for small operators that eliminates components that aren’t necessary for operators without national deployments, the company said. TruePosition offers the solution at a reduced overall cost.
“We recognize that small to medium-sized wireless operators face unique challenges when it comes to providing emergency location to their customers.” said Kent Sander, president and chief operating officer of TruePosition. “This optimized solution will allow operators to bring critical emergency location services to their subscribers in a shorter time frame for a reduced overall cost.”
In addition, TruePosition is offering its solution with specialized pricing in conjunction with the Rural Cellular Association.
