WASHINGTON-The Federal Communications Commission today fined AT&T Wireless Services Inc. $117,000 for safety-related violations involving antenna structures. The FCC said AT&T Wireless committed seven separate infractions including failure to register, light and paint antenna towers and failure to post antenna structure registration numbers at the base of towers.
The agency said the fine is the result of routine inspections and related investigations conducted by FCC field offices around the country.
Earlier this month, AT&T Wireless was hit with a $2 million fine for not complying with location-based 911 requirements.
