Centurion acquires Allgon Mobile

NEW YORK-Centurion Wireless Technologies Inc., Lincoln, Neb., has signed an agreement to acquire Allgon Mobile Communications, a designer and manufacturer of antennas for mobile communications devices, for an undisclosed sum.

“Centurion and Allgon Mobile Communications have complementary antenna product lines, engineering vision and operating philosophies,” said Gary Kuck, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Centurion. “Allgon Mobile brings a unique combination of engineering and high-volume manufacturing that will enable Centurion to extend its market position.”

Established in 1978, Centurion supplies mobile-device makers that include Nokia Corp., Motorola Inc., Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Ltd., Dell Computer Co. and Cisco Systems Inc. In addition to its headquarters in Nebraska, the company has facilities in China, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Malaysia. Allgon Mobile is a division of Allgon AB and has operations in Sweden and China.
