MURRAY HILL, N.J.-Shares of Lucent Technologies surged early this week on rumors of a potential takeover by aerospace and defense equipment vendor General Dynamics.
Tuesday afternoon, shares of Lucent were trading at $1.84 per share, even with Monday’s close and General Dynamics was down slightly at $80.26 per share.
General Dynamics has a foot in the wireless space, with its Network Systems business unit focused on wireless towers.
