NEW YORK-The Telecommunications Development Fund, a Washington, D.C.-based venture capital fund investing in early-stage communications companies nationwide, has made available an online tutorial on good corporate governance for entrepreneurs launching and growing new businesses.
“Most educational services for entrepreneurs tend to focus only on management strategies for growth, and yet a well-built board (of directors) and good governance practices can be one of the most powerful strategic assets for an emerging company,” said Roger W. Raber, president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
John Moore, president of the Greater Capital Area Chapter of the NACD, developed the course with input from a large group of entrepreneurs, investors and attorneys.
