Forbes.com study examines business user demand for mobile content

NEW YORK-Business professionals are interested in receiving business-related news and breaking news via mobile phones, according to research from Forbes.com.

The study, conducted with SmartServ in November, polled more than 550 Forbes.com users and showed: Professionals are most likely to use advanced wireless features and to consider buying a cell phone with new features; 36 percent of all respondents showed interest in receiving business-related news via their cell phones; and 20 percent of those interested in receiving news said they would pay more than $1 per month for the service.

“It’s very gratifying to find that our users show such an interest in next-generation wireless cellular technologies, and through our relationship with SmartServ we will continue to expand our wireless offerings,” said Jim Spanfeller, president and chief executive officer of Forbes.com.
