MUNICH, Germany-PCTEL Inc. recently announced the availability of its new Segue Network Gateway, capable of performing routing, IP addressing, security and billing access for 802.11 networks.
“We will continue to press the envelope on reducing the costs of operating and establishing 802.11 networks,” said Marty Singer, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We believe that the industry must confront four barriers to 802.11 growth: network availability, ease-of-use, roaming, and simplified billing. The Segue Network Gateway, by aggressively attacking the costs of operation and deployment, will help to accelerate the buildout of Wi-Fi networks.”
Including the new product, which is available for $2,500, PCTEL offers 4 mobility software products dedicated to 802.11 environments.
