Report: Competition Commission says mobile customers overpaying

DUBLIN, Ireland-A report in one of the United Kingdom’s leading tabloid newspapers suggested the Competition Commission has reached a decision on the fairness or otherwise of mobile call costs in that country.

The Daily Mail published what it claimed were figures leaked from the final report indicating that call charges should be reduced by up to one-fifth. The Competition Commission has been looking into the cost of mobile calls in the United Kingdom since early last year and will formally submit its findings and recommendations to Oftel on 6 January.
