PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Private tower company Bay Communications L.L.C., founded in November 2002, has secured private equity funding from Boston-based Housatonic Partners.
Bay Communications will use the funding to support the development of wireless communication towers in the northeastern U.S.
“The nature of the tower industry today has created opportunities for the small, privately held regional tower developers like Bay,” said Jim Riley, founder and chief executive officer of Bay.
