BT expands U.K. hot spots to 80

LONDON-British Telecommunications said it has rolled out new wireless hot spots across Hilton hotels, airports and motorway service stations in the United Kingdom. The operator said it has installed 80 Wi-Fi hot spots, with agreements in place for another 40.

BT announced new deals with BAA to bring its BT Openzone wireless local area network (WLAN) service to Heathrow terminal one, Gatwick, Stansted and Aberdeen airports. An agreement with Welcome Break service station will include 27 new sites, and Hilton will roll out Wi-Fi in 36 of its hotels in the United Kingdom.
