SAN JOSE-The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics organization said 2002 shipments of digital signal processors reached its highest monthly figure in two years with a net revenue growth of 14.1 percent to $4.85 billion.
“TI continues to be the dominant company in DSP, increasing their market share by a few points,” said WSTS in a press release. “However, the most dramatic change is that Motorola displaced Agere for the number two spot in 2002; a position that Agere and its earlier incarnations (as AT&T Microelectronics and Lucent Microelectronics) held on to since 1992.”
