TOKYO-Index, a leading Japanese mobile content service provider, won a total of 2 million yen (US$16,600) in funds from Dentsu and NEC, the firm announced. Index issued 1,140 new shares and allocated 850 of them to Dentsu and the remaining 290 issues to NEC.
Index will use the newly raised funds for its mobile commerce business in Japan and China, development for content for digital terrestrial broadcasting, and content for mobile phones.
