Anadigics debuts switches, power amp modules

CANNES, France-Anadigics Inc. announced a new family of switch products and what it describes as the world’s smallest GSM/GPRS quad-band power amplifier modules at this week’s 3GSM Show in Cannes, France.

The company introduced the AWT6108 and AWT6123 PA modules using its advanced InGaP HBT technology.

“The outstanding temperature stability provided by these power amplifiers enables GPRS class 12 operation and ensures industry-leading quality levels of data transfer for 3G handsets,” said the company.

The company also introduced four new pHEMT RF switches that deliver low insertion loss, high linearity and high isolation for GSM, CDMA, EDGE and wideband CDMA handsets.

“Our new multi-throw RF antenna switches deliver measurable advantages in terms of functionality, performance, cost and reliability, which enables handset designers to eliminate bulky filter modules, thereby reducing size and cost of their products,” remarked Ali Khatibzadeh, vice president of wireless products at Anadigics.
