CANNES, France-Asian carrier SmarTone Mobile Communications Ltd. will offer wireless e-mail services through a new partnership with ViAir, the companies announced.
Under the deal, SmarTone will offer an “e-mail on the go” service, which provides customers with access to Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes e-mail, calendar and contacts. Users can compose and respond to e-mail using voice or a wireless device, and can print e-mails and attachments to any fax machine.
ViAir has similar deals with more than 10 other wireless carriers, and counts 300,000 total users.
