Sonus extends architecture to wireless market

WESTFORD, Mass.-Sonus Networks, whose Open Services Architecture supports 4 billion minutes of wireline network user traffic monthly, has extended its offering to mobile operators with the introduction of its Smarrt Wireless switching system. Key components include the GSX9000 Open Services Switch, the Insignus Softswitch and Sonus Insight Management System, all of which are designed to help GSM, CDMA, TDMA and 3G network operators deliver enhanced, packet-based services.
