SAN JOSE, Calif.-Mobile satellite service provider Globalstar announced it is now offering a data monitoring and acquisition service for asset tracking and sensory telemetry monitoring.
The service, developed with AeroAsto Inc., uses palm-sized modems to track assets and read meters.
“These new data modems are ready to revolutionize the economics of asset tracking and remote sending,” said Paul Thomas, Globalstar’s vice president of data services.
The service is available now in the United States and Canada and will be introduced in parts of Europe and the north Atlantic Ocean by mid-year.
