RESTON, Va.-Grayson Wireless, a division of Allen Telecom Inc., said Yorkville Telephone Cooperative plans to purchase Grayson’s Geometrix E911 wireless caller location system.
The Grayson system will be installed in Yorkville’s TDMA, AMPS and future GSM wireless networks to provide 911 public-safety agencies with caller location information on wireless calls to 911. The Grayson location system will simultaneously support both the current and replacement network technologies and customer handsets. No handset replacement or conversion will be necessary, said Grayson.
