NEW ORLEANS-Openwave Systems Inc. made a slew of announcements this week at CTIA Wireless 2003:
- the company introduced Openwave Voice MMS which integrates voice and data messaging capabilities;
- Openwave will partner with Network Associates to integrate McAfee Security’s anti-virus technology into its MX messaging platform;
- RealNetworks Inc.’s RealOne Mobile Player will be integrated with Openwave’s Phone Tools Version 7.0 and Openwave joined the Helix Community and has licensed the Helix DNA Client source code used in the RealOne Mobile Player
- Aplix Corp.’s JBlend JAVA-based technology will be integrated with Openwave’s Phone Tools Version 7.0;
- the Openwave Mobile Browser has been selected as the browser of choice from upcoming wireless phones from Kyocera Wireless Corp.;
- and Openwave’s Location Studio and Location Manager will be marketed with location platforms, applications and software suites from Microsoft, Motorola, Autodesk and Webraska.
