ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France-Wavecom SA will integrate wireless technology into on-board terminals designed by Grundig AG’s Car Intermedia System business unit for use in trucks in Germany’s Toll Collect system.
Toll Collect is an electronic motorway toll program for heavy commercial vehicles in Germany. With Wavecom’s wireless connectivity, data from the truck is transmitted over a GSM network to a Toll Collect central and then the vehicle owners receive an invoice once a month based on the data.
