Phone recycler plans U.S. push

DUBLIN, Ireland-Scottish firm Eurosource Europe announced plans to establish a presence in the United States, having carved a lucrative niche in Europe. The company said it has recycled 150,000 mobile phones during the last four years.

Recycling of electronic equipment has been the subject of legislation at the European Commission level as the European Union attempts to reduce the volume of mobile phones, PCs and peripherals that are dumped in landfill sites.
