BANGKOK, Thailand-Hutchison CAT Wireless MultiMedia Ltd. (HCWML), a joint venture between Hutchison Wireless MultiMedia Holdings Ltd. and The Communications Authority of Thailand, has chosen Motorola’s Global Telecom Solutions Sector to implement its Network Enabling Services Platform, which will run on Kabira’s OSA/Parlay Gateway solution.
“As a service provider, it is vital that we see income form our services as quickly as possible,” explained Pipatpong Poshyanonda, chief information officer of HCWML. “Motorola and Kabira were able to develop a solution that will not only attract users thanks to cutting edge voice and data services and applications, but they’ve allowed us to offer a pioneering way for application providers to tap into the network, giving us better access to a less traditional revenue stream.”
