LG to begin LCD screen production

TOKYO-LG Philips LCD said it plans to begin production of liquid crystal display screens for cell phones, personal digital assistants and other wireless devices in the second half of this year.

LG Philips is a 50-50 joint venture between LG Electronics and Philips Electronics.
