ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France-Chinese electronics maker TCL Mobile Communication used technology from Wavecom SA as the basis for its new S320 and S500 mobile phones, a move Wavecom said shows the company is one of TCL’s preferred wireless technology suppliers.
“As a key technology partner for TCL, with a proven track record, it was natural for us to turn to Wavecom for this project,” said Wan Mingjian, TCL’s chief executive officer. “We are very pleased with their extended offering, and are particularly excited about the Open MMI development tool which allows us to customize the telephone’s look and feel in a very quick and easy way.”
