Agere Systems releases read-channel chip

ALLENTOWN, Pa.-Agere Systems Inc. said it has introduced a low-power read-channel chip that enhances performances and extends battery life in handheld computers and other wireless devices.

“The Agere’s TrueStore read-channel RC6500LP is optimized to deliver superior signal integrity and performance for portable hard disk storage applications and offers multiple modes that reduce power consumption . ” said the company.
