SAN FRANCISCO-ARM Ltd. made a series of announcements at the Embedded Systems Conference, including separate deals with LSI Logic and ParthusCeva, HelloSoft and Aptix, and Canon Research and Be4.
ARM said it will work with LSI Logic and ParthusCeva to develop a standard digital signal processing integration specification.
“This specification is aimed at addressing the technical aspects surrounding the integration of DSP cores with ARM and other microprocessor cores in system-on-chip designs,” said ARM.
The company said HelloSoft has developed a complete Voice over Internet Protocol phone software suite fully optimized for a single ARM926EJ core.
Canon Research, Be4 and Aptix have joined ARM PrimeXsys Community Program.
