AT&T Wireless program aims to woo Blackberry customers

REDMOND, Wash.-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. launched a buy-back and leasing program designed to attract users of Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry devices from competing carriers to exchange their device for a BlackBerry 6210 or 6710 model designed for AT&T Wireless’ GSM/GPRS network.

The program provides a credit of between $40 and $200 depending on the AT&T Wireless device and rate plan selected and is available to individuals or corporations using BlackBerry 850, 857, 950 or 957 models, which are designed to work on either 800 MHz DataTac networks or 900 MHz Mobitex networks.
