Motorola wins Baghdad radio contract

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Motorola Inc. has been awarded a $15.8 million contract to supply the Baghdad Police Force with 3,000 vehicular-mounted mobile radios and base stations, according to a Reuters report.

Motorola did not return a call for confirmation by RCR Wireless News’ press time.

The contract reportedly covers the purchase, distribution and installation of radios, base stations, repeaters, towers and spare parts during the next four months.
