Gambling legislation vote delayed

WASHINGTON-The House GOP leadership postponed a vote on Internet gambling legislation Tuesday after criticism surfaced that appeared to put the bill’s passage in question. The House judiciary and financial services committees passed different versions of the bill.

While concerns were raised about the scope of the legislation, any bill that goes forward is expected to limit or ban mobile-phone gambling.

The legislation could resurface on the House floor next week.
