OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Billing and customer-care provider Convergys Corp. said it signed an agreement with billing customer Sprint PCS to support the carrier’s migration from Convergys’ legacy billing system to an in-house system.
Convergys said its general billing contract with Sprint PCS runs through Dec. 31, 2004, and that Sprint PCS has until March 31 to exercise its option to extend the contract. Sprint declined to comment on the report.
Convergys added its Information Management Group generated $150 million in revenue from Sprint PCS last year and that its 2003 financial guidance assumes lower revenue from the carrier.
