NEW YORK-Standard and Poor’s has downgraded its ratings outlook on Motorola Inc. to negative from stable, reflecting the company’s slower-than-expected profit improvements.
“If Motorola does not demonstrate substantial progress toward achieving operating profitability more consistent with the rating level while maintaining its current moderate capital structure, ratings could be revised downward,” said S&P.
