WASHINGTON-Tecore Wireless Systems said it is setting up a distribution center in Iraq to deploy GSM mobile-phone systems throughout the country.
“Our established regional presence, experience with deployments in difficult environments and ability to rapidly deploy GSM networks, makes us well suited for any operator looking to quickly set up service and ensure a rapid return on investment,” said Jay Salkini, Tecore’s chairman and CEO.
Tecore, which offers turnkey mobile-phone network solutions, helped launch Afghanistan’s GSM wireless systems. Tecore is based in Columbia, Md.
