AirNet expects 100% revenue leap in 2Q

MELBOURNE, Fla.-AirNet Communications, which makes software-defined radio base stations, said it expects to record at least a 100-percent revenue leap, more than $4.3 million, in its second-quarter compared with its first quarter report.

“Our sales efforts continue to be focused on near-term revenue opportunities,” said Glenn Ehley, president and chief executive officer of the company. “In the next few weeks, I hope to announce new purchase orders for delivery in the third and fourth quarters of this year.”

The company enjoyed a flow of funds recently. It received $3 million in orders from Tecore Wireless Systems for new deployments in the Middle East and Africa. Tecore and SCP Private Equity Partners also provided debt financing to the tune of $16 million.
