BeamReach wins wireless broadband contract in Malaysia

SUNNYVALE, Calif.-BeamReach Networks announced an initial contract valued at $4.2 million with BSI Malaysia, a systems integrator. BSI and operator Millenium 2 Communications plan to deploy broadband wireless services in Malaysia beginning first in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.

The first phase of the agreement calls for seven BeamReach base stations and thousands of customer premise units.
Millenium and BSI intend to serve residences and businesses, as well as schools.
