PARIS-Alcatel said it won a contract to supply a complete GSM network to Afghanistan’s newest mobile provider Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd. The system is already operational in Kabul under the brand name of Roshan.
Alcatel said the contract is valued at “multi-million euros.”
Within the next year, the network should cover five major cities in the country, Alcatel said.
