SAN JOSE, Costa Rica-Lucent Technologies Inc. said Costa Rica’s sole telecommunications provider, Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, has contracted it to deploy Lucent’s next-generation optical solutions. The technology will allow ICE to provide mobile and wireline services using a common transport network.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
