TORONTO-In a document it filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Nortel Networks Ltd. said it forecasts a further $30 million to $40 million of restructuring charges in the second half of 2003.
This contradicts the company’s declaration earlier this year that the restructuring was over. The company slashed its staff from about 95,000 at the crest of the telecom boom to 36,000 at the end of the second quarter.
